The toll plaza on the Oakland side of the Bay Bridge (since 1969 for westbound traffic only) has eighteen toll lanes, of which six are dedicated FasTrak (Easy Pass). This shot was taken from the Hyatt Regency Hotel, when Linda said “Oh look, the sun is coming up!”  Hanging out the window, I grabbed this shot with my RX1. It was a single shot, processed like heck in Photoshop.lanes.

While in San Francisco for a conference on university business, I had the opportunity to grab a couple of quick shots of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge.  The bridge, known locally as the Bay Bridge, is a pair of bridges spanning San Francisco Bay and a direct road route between San Francisco and Oakland. It carries approximately 280,000 vehicles per day on its two decks and has one of the longest spans in the world.

While in Mobile, Ala for the go daddy.com bowl game, I had cocktails as part of pregame festivities at the Malaga Inn. The Malaga Inn was originally built as twin townhouses by two brothers–in–law when the war was still going well for the South.
